Last night I watched the film Nobody Knows: The Untold Story of Black Mormons. It is a documentary film about some of the struggles faced by African Americans who joined the Mormon church.
I thought the film was amazing. There is a lot of anguish and sadness associated with this topic, but the film, while sobering, was also uplifting and joyful. It presents honest discussion from African American Mormons about the difficulty faced by black members both before and after the priesthood ban.
Darius Gray was the heart and soul of the film. His story is truly inspiring.

I think I saw this on the BYU channel one night. I enjoyed it as well. It brought up many questions for Jer being a new convert and all.
